MUSIC ~ Over 25,000 songs and we add 200 brand new songs each month from Top Hits USA. Sometimes so new that it's not yet available to the general public from traditional outlets and legal download providers. Top Hits USA supplies radio stations and DJ's with professionally edited music at the absolute highest quality available. So we really do have everything from the 1940's up to this weeks Top 40!
REQUESTS ~ We play your requests and that of your guests for rock and roll, country, 50-60s, top 40, alternative, hip-hop/rap, disco, latin, retro 80's, techno, big band and the like. After all, it's your event, not ours! As long as you're dancing - we're happy, otherwise we'll work your crowd to find their mix to get them dancing and keep them dancing.
PROFESSIONAL MOBILE CONSOLE ~ No home stereo look or sound here, just professional grade gear. We use 1 dual Gemini DJ-CD player, 1 Cortex dual digital music controller & dedicated external, fan cooled harddrive and 1 iPod. 2 microphones (Shure hardwired & Shure wireless) run through a Peavey reverb and delay effect unit and a dedicated microphone equalizer. 1 Pyle Pro mixing board, then through a Behringer 31 channel equalizer and a BBE crossover. Two 2,500 watt Peavey power amplifiers, 2 Peavey SP3, three-way speakers and 2 Peavey SP1 subwoofers. Three rack-mounted cases roll together to create the mobile console so no table is required, just two chairs. This is the system that makes other DJ's say "WOW"! Two to four additional Peavey 2-way speakers on fully skirted tripods are available if necessary.
Plus two Carvin LM12A powered 2-way speakers with two Shure Wireless Receivers and one Shure Wireless Transmitter is available for an adjoining room, outdoors or for extra large rooms so that the guests up close don't get blasted just so the guests in the back can hear.
Also available is a combination HD Projector/DVD Player (with jacks for computer input) with 6 foot deluxe screen for the popular slide show, wired or mic'd into our sound system.
ONSITE BACKUP GEAR ~ We always carry a back-up power amp, digital music controller & hard-drive, dual CD player, crossover, iPod, speakers, microphone and mixer, plus spare cables, adapters, batteries and bulbs to every event since the show must go on.
PROFESSIONAL LIGHT SHOW ~ Manually operated by a trained light jockey for a personalized touch. What most DJ's call a light show is a joke, or they use just a few fully automated lights and try to run it themselves while DJ'ing too. We create a dance floor atmosphere through the use of 12 multicolored flood lights, 7 strobe lights, 6 red and blue police beacons, 4 red lasers and 4 multi-colored tetra lights, 1 multi-colored dual-rotating cyclone light, 1 fogger, 1 blacklight and 1 white rotopod light that is always in sync with the music... because it is operated by the light jockey, not the DJ. The light show can be as gentle as a shower of slowly rotating white lights during a slow dance, to a multi display of lighting effects during a fast techno song... because it is manually operated by the light jockey. WEDDING RECEPTIONS ~ This is our specialty! Upon booking you will receive our exclusive four page Music Source Wedding Reception Planner and two page Information and Song Request Sheet.
The planner will allow you and your fiancee to plan out all the details of your reception in advance, with our years of professional experience as a guide. Here you will select all of the music for the formalities, including the 'first dance'. We even ask what style of background music you want for your guests prior to and during dinner.
The information sheet will provide us information on the two of you to share with your guests, and the song request sheet will allow you to list your favorite dance songs, and give us an idea of your musical tastes... though we do ask for and play guests requests too, as we want everyone dancing all night long.
These items you return to me 3-4 weeks prior to your big day. This gives me a chance to review, find any special music that I may not already have in my DJ show, and formulate a list of questions. Then ideally we meet at The Lovelight Studios, or at least have a long phone converstaion, to go over it in detail, for as long as it takes, covering everything including floor plan and location of the wedding cake.
At your reception I will coordinate all the formalities with you, your caterer, your photographer, your cake people, staff at the reception hall, anyone working your reception. This makes for a smooth evening so you can enjoy your reception too!
WEDDING CEREMONIES ~ Professional sound support for your ceremony too. This includes our exclusive three page Music Source Wedding Ceremony Planner and separate sound support system with a wireless lapel microphone for your minister and a wireless handheld microphone for any readers and/or singers. The goal here is to provide elegant yet unobtrusive music before, during and immediately following your wedding ceremony.
